CEMES Centre for European Migration and Ethnic Studies; http://www.cemes.org/;CEMES specialises in policy-relevant research, information and publishing on international migration, ethnic relations and related topics in Western, Central and Eastern Europe.  It includes : Ethnobarometr  programme A network providing independent and research-based reports on levels of  racism, xenophobia and ethnic conflict in selected countries of Central, Eastern and Western Europe, a joint venture with the Italian Social Science Research Council; and  'A Survey of Research Centres and Resources  The European Directory' - a report on social science research on inter-ethnic relations and human rights in Europe. It is based on information supplied by more than 300 research organisations, institutes and university departments. Detailed information on more than 30 countries. ECMI: European Center for Minority Issues; http://www.ecmi.de/; A German-Danish independent institution serving as a source of information on issues related to ethnic minorities and majorities in a European perspective, conducting research on and contributing to the improvement of minority-majority relations in those parts of Europe where ethnic tension and ethnopolitical conflict prevails. The site contains detailed description of the Center and its activities including transcripts of seminars, contains a list of publications of the center some of which are available on-line. One of ECMI's main functions is to provide information services on non-dominant ethnic groups in Europe and their relationships to dominant groups.  The ECMI Library catalogue can be searched here on the ECMI website. A large number of annotated links to European institutions, international organizations, networks, foundations, NGOs, and databases are also available here. In addition, the Gateway to World Libraries provides quick access to many internet libraries. Documentation is another important aspect of ECMI information services. NEMDA- The National Ethnic Minority Data Archive project; http://www.warwick.ac.uk/CRER/centre/nemda.html, The archive provides source of quantitative information and data analyses relating minority ethnic groups living in the United Kingdom (and, where information is available, the countries of continental Europe). Research conducted by NEMDA draws upon numerous data sets, ranging from the decennial Census of Population and large-scale national social surveys (such as the Labour Force Survey) to the results of local surveys of particular ethnic groups. The data  areas  include: demography; the labour market; social structure; housing; educational qualifications; standards of living.
